MAC JOBS

Goal:

  • To involve students of the College in the functioning of the College in the form of ‘On Campus Job Opportunity’ along with their study.
  • To inculcate among students
    (a) Work Culture
    (b) Administrative Efficiency
    (c) Skill Development
    (d) Communication Skills
    (e)Practical Knowledge
  • To aid to the College Administration in completion of various tasks as an additional boost towards the workforce in an economical manner.

  • Context: The concept of the above practise may be summarised as “ Earn while You Learn”. It is focused on teaching students the nuances of college functioning and administration. The scheme is under the supervision of a Teacher Coordinator and Two Student Coordinators (preferably from the Student Council), who shall be responsible:

  • To coordinate with the Student Managers and the Administrative Departments
  • To take proper attendance records of the students in the Team and replace the Inactive Students from the team, if needed
  • To aid the team in providing the necessary infrastructure for their task
  • To decide the timeframe of the completion of the task allotted
  • To carry out Stipend Distribution Procedures and other incidental procedures under the scheme, thereto with the consultation of all the Administrative Departments of the College,

  • Practice: The tasks to be accomplished under this scheme shall be identified.

  • Each task will be assigned to a team of 10 students, led by a ‘Student Manager’. The Student Manager shall be responsible to coordinate his team and the department where his team’s task is assigned.
  • The students shall work from Monday to Friday, 3PM to 5PM (2 hours).
  • Not more than one task shall be carried out at a time in an administrative department under the scheme.

  • Evidence of Success: Under MACJOBS Scheme, the College has initiated four jobs:

    1. College Stock Verification Job:
  • No. of Students involved: 50 students
  • Time duration: 18 March 2015 to 20 March 2015
  • Students were awarded a letter of appreciation and a token of appreciation of Rs. 100/- per day per head.

  • 2. College Electronic Data Processing of admission forms and other assistance/ help to the new aspirants for the academic year 2015-16
  • No. of Students involved: 9 students
  • Time duration: 25 June 2015 to 30 July 2015 Students were awarded a letter of appreciation and a token of appreciation of Rs. 1500/- per head.

  • 3. Reconciliation of Provident Fund Register with Balance Sheet for the financial year w.e.f. 1994-95 to 2014-15

  • No. of Students involved: 3 students
  • Time duration: 13 July 2015 onwards
  • Students were awarded a letter of appreciation and a token of appreciation of Rs. 1500/- per head.
  • 4. Data Entry and result verification
  • No. of Students involved: 10 students
  • Time duration: 10 September 2015 onwards
  • Students were awarded a letter of appreciation and a token of appreciation of Rs. 1000/- per head.
