The Department of Political Science, Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi is currently working on an ICSSR sponsored Research Programme titled An analytical Study of Debates on Jammu and Kashmir in Indian Parliament and Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir. The study endeavours to bring to light the issues related to J&K and how those issues have been looked at and approached differently at different times by different statesmen in the debates in the Indian parliament and the legislative assembly of J&K. The study would look at various issues like Article 370 and 35A, the fundamental rights, citizenship issue etc. through the prism of debates and would try to analyze the trajectories in the overall shaping of the debates and the resultant development. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, Maharaja Agrasen College, is the Project Director of the Research Programme. Dr. Ritu Kohli, Dr. Akhilesh Mishra and Mr. Saurabh Dubey are co-Project Directors of the same. The research team includes Dr. Rajeev Kumar (Research Associate), Ashu J. and Vishal Sharma (Research Assistants). The Research Programme is to be completed in 15 months (December 2017 to February 2019). The total allocated/sanctioned fund for the Research Programme (in four installments) would be Sixteen Lakhs and Seventy Thousand only (Rs 16,70,000/-).
