Embedded Systems and Robotics Center (ESRC) at the department was established under the e-Yantra project of IIT Bombay to spread education in Embedded Systems and Robotics. This project is sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) through the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT). The ESRC is designed as a scalable and sustainable approach that addresses infrastructure creation and teacher training – to create an eco-system at the colleges to impart effective engineering education. The Embedded Systems and Robotics Centre, MAC had been set up with an aim to provide a platform for training students both in theory and applications of robotics through exciting hands-on application of mathematics, computer science, and engineering principles. It enables effective Embedded systems and Robotics education to students by providing training for students; engaging teachers and students in hands-on experiments with robots; organizing workshops (regional / national) and competitions leading to student driven research at the undergraduate level in the field of embedded systems and robotics for pedagogical effectiveness, enhanced learning outcomes. ESRC, Maharaja Agrasen College has also been selected as a participating college in the “e-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative (eLSI)” project of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India and IIT Mumbai.
